The Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine operates more than 10 national-level platforms, including the national key laboratory of endovascular implantable devices; an education-industry integration platform for cardiovascular implantable devices; a system and platform for testing new cardiovascular implantable devices and equipment under near-physiological conditions; a program for improving diagnosis and treatment capabilities for complex cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases; key laboratories of the Ministry of Education (early warning and treatment of malignant tumors; early warning and treatment of multiple organ failure); an innovation center for basic pharmaceutical research on digestive system tumors; and a national emergency medicine base; it is a founding institution of a national regional medical center and a participant in the pilot project of flagship hospitals for integrating Western and Chinese medicine.
