The First Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang Chinese Medical University is the province's only national regional center for traditional Chinese medicine diagnosis and treatment (specialized), a national key traditional Chinese medicine hospital under development, a national traditional Chinese medicine team and base for epidemic prevention and treatment, and an exporting hospital of a national regional medical center.

Seven of its disciplines rank in the national top ten among traditional Chinese medicine disciplines, with hematology consistently holding first place.
